Interrobang Studios focuses on web and print comics, but they also make Silverlight web games, which can be played on their site. They currently have 3 games and are working on more. I highly recommend Bubble Crunch, which I found to be pretty addictive. I used to have the high scores in Easy and Medium, but it seems I’ve been beaten.
Robot Martini is a group that runs a comics and gaming blog where they post short nerdy comic strips every weekday. They also attend various comics, art, and gaming events. “All 3 of Robot Martini’s comics were designed with flash games and iPod games in mind,” said Gavin Schmitt, “our library is all vector.” One of Robot Martini’s earlier comics has already appeared in a simple Flash game.
3D models of characters and sets from Albert L Foster’s “Forsaken” will be on display on laptops. The project is not yet completed, but these models are intended for use in video games in the future.
“We’re setting up a cheap, home-grown, comic-centric, Baltimore sequential arts festival with local shops and local talent,” says Sarah Martinez of Interrobang Studios. “We’re hoping this is the start of something big, not only for us as a group but for geek culture in Baltimore as well,” added Kevin Bolk, the head artist at Interrobang, “We’ve been taking to street to get the word out,” said Kevin, “and there’s been a lot of buzz online on Facebook, deviantArt, etc., so we’re expecting a really a pretty good turnout.”
