Nerds Dodgeball Association

When I first noticed an invite from the Nerd Dodgeball Association I thought “must be spam”, but than I looked at the invite and saw two very recognizable names.  These two guys are involved in everything! Im talking about Adam Chase(Magfest) and Dominic Cerquetti(Rare Candy Band). The first game took place on June 10 at Perry Hall Middle School and drew a very sizable crowd of about 25-30 people. Nine games later, the last game played yesterday at Honeygo Run Park, counted almost 100+ Dodgeball participants. Speaking with Dom, I asked “Where did you and Adam get the idea to start up a league?” he replied “Dude, we were just sitting in the basement”. The next week, the NDA was born and now it has grown to a weekly event that nerds, kids and family members from all backgrounds can come to have fun.

There are already rumors of the league being sponsored by two companies who have offered catered food for upcoming Dodgeball events and league jerseys. No looking back now for Adam and Dom, they have a big road ahead at the rate the league is growing. If you readers out there want to play some 40 vs 40 Dodgeball, enjoy a great time with friends, talk about games, or just get a good work out, we dare you to try Nerd Dodgeball Association.

Most everyone likes dodgeball, but a lot of people don’t play it anymore. Whether it be not having time, not having a group to play it with, or some other reason, we all are missing out on this amazing game. This is why we have decided to build a group of everyday, rad people who can come out and play a few games once a week.
