Seeking Experienced Washington, D.C. Region Second Life(R) Volunteers for Compensated Participation in Virtual World Research.
Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) and Georgia Institute of Technology are seeking volunteers with at least 50 hours experience in Second Life virtual world to participate in exciting new research that will focus on the association between real world personality and avatar behavior.
Volunteers will be compensated with a gift card or Linden(TM) dollars. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older. The final results will be submitted for peer-review publication to become part of the growing body of research into virtual worlds.
Participation will require one three-hour Second Life laboratory session at SAIC in Arlington, Va, and up to three regularly scheduled Second Life sessions online. Any identifying information will be kept confidential.
