Imagine a 100-person orchestra whose sole purpose is to play video game music.
We’ve done songs from Halo, Chrono Trigger, Warcraft, Zelda, and
Portal, to name a few. Rather than taking scores off the Internet, we
arrange our music ourselves.
Here’s a picture from our Spring 08 concert (we’re about twice as big now):
We’ve also helped in the creation of another VGM-playing orchestra at a local high school, the Magruder GSO.
Enjoy the sweet sounds of such songs as FF7 – Aerith’s Theme, Mario Galaxy – Gusty Gardens (from fellow video game orchestra VGO), Zelda: Wind Waker (in Celtic style), Katamari Damacy, and many more at our concert!
Doors open at 3PM in the Dekelboum Concert Hall in the Clarice Smith
Performing Arts Center in College Park, MD. The concert will last about
2 hours.
Directions:
The concert will be in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
Parking is free in the nearby Lot 1. The following map shows both –
click the blue mark on the Performing Arts Center and click “Get
Directions” for personalized directions from your own location. Here is the map – it may take a bit of time to load.
